Veta Youth is pleased to announce the launch of Veta Neo, our brand-new discipleship experience for students in years 7-10 at high school.

Background

After 14 years of delivering Veta Morphus, we have seen what happens when young people are released to invest seriously in their Christian growth – with thousands of Veta Morphus graduates influencing their communities for Christ around Australia and beyond.

Over the years Veta Youth has had many requests to establish a Veta program for younger year levels and so finally, in 2015-2016, we undertook research to find out ‘does this need exist amongst our partners and their students’, and if so, ‘is God calling Veta Youth to respond to this need?’ And the result was ‘Yes’. Just as, through Veta Morphus, God has transformed the lives of thousands of year 11 and 12 students, the same need and opportunity exists for students in years 7-10. The question was ‘How?’ ‘Can the same tried and tested principles of Veta Morphus be applied to this age group? Can we deliver a similar experience for younger students?’

Once again, after much prayerful reflection, modelling and testing, the answer is ‘Yes, we can!’ Based on current research, and borrowing from all that we have learned from Veta Morphus, Veta Youth has developed a brand-new experience for younger student (whilst maintaining our tried and proven ‘key areas of learning’ i.e. Bible Engagement, Mentoring, Christian Community, Peer Group, Retreats and Practical Service) Veta Neo, a genuine journey of faith in Jesus for students in years 7-10.

Veta Neo equips leaders and teachers to disciple their year 7-10 youth and see a genuine outworking of their faith.

Based on real-life experience and in-depth research amongst schools and churches, Veta youth offers a discipleship experience that:

  • Engages year 7-10 students
  • Provides clarity and purpose for youth-leaders
  • Supports teachers and leaders, with friends along the road
  • Offers less entertainment and more depth and rich experience
  • Builds connections with family, church and school We have seen real fruit in the lives of young people through our authentic Christian learning, and now that same opportunity is available for younger students too!
